The Trump Turnberry Resort, Scotland is now home to 3 golf courses - The Ailsa, King Robert the Bruce & The Arran.
The Ailsa course, Trump Turnberry's iconic course, first hosted the Open in 1977, when Tom Watson played out of his skin to beat Nicklaus. The 18th hole since then is called “Duel in the Sun”. Tom Watson did all but win here again in 2009 at the age of 59. The Ailsa course is one of the most spectacular and photogenic golf courses with astounding views of the Ailsa Craig – just stand on the back tees on the 9th! The breathtaking beauty of Ailsa is underscored by Tom Watson’s quote – “Turnberry is as close to Heaven on Earth as we golfers get."
