Prestwick Golf Club, Scotland is where the first ever Major – The Open was played in 1860, at the time for a “Moroccan Belt” and also where it has featured 24 times (last in 1925), only one less than at St. Andrews. Visiting the clubhouse of the Prestwick golf course, albeit in the right attire is an experience by itself, particularly with welcoming proud members. The course though not challenging in length, is beautifully kept and provides quirky tests of shot making all along, making for a glorious day out.
