Golf in Morocco

Overview

  VIEW MOROCCO GOLF HOLIDAYS

Golf in Morocco has become increasingly popular with golfers who've explored other parts of the world, wanting a piece of the Moroccan pie.

A source of fascination for centuries, Morocco serves as quite the example of the exotic, which stems in different measures from its varied landscape, the nomadic lives of many of its people, its ancient souks, its glorious cuisine and the general air of medieval Islamic glory with its European influences.

It is no wonder that in this day and age, Morocco is now finding its own as a destination to the seasoned traveler wanting to explore the world beyond the regular spots, a different idea to the regular Mediterranean or Atlantic crossover.

There are several attractions not to miss in Morocco from the souks of its medinas in Marrakech and Fez to the coastline and beaches in Agadir; the views of Atlas Mountains to the Saharan dunes in the grand desert on a camel trek, the glimpses of nomadic Saharan lifestyles to the more recent colonial influences from across the Mediterranean; and not to miss on the glorious cuisine, even though drinking mint tea on a panoramic terrace watching the world go by is a treat by itself.

Even for the most avid golfers, all the above is enough reason to stay off the course. But then golf in Morocco also comes with an experience – many of the golf courses are designed by top names  – and found essentially in 2 parts  – in the vicinity of Marrakech -  some with the  grand backdrop of the often snowcapped Atlas Mountains and those on the edge of the Atlantic around Agadir.
