Almaty, the former capital of Kazakhstan has two golf courses, but they may not be reason enough to make a trip there. The weather, especially from May - September is blissful with moderate temperatures around 20-30 C, ideal for golf. The mountain scenery is spectacular and you will get plenty of it on the golf courses and on sightseeing visits. But it is the nightlife which lures people, golfers or otherwise.
