Across the street from the Royal Calcutta Golf Club is the The Tollygunge Golf Club or “Tolly” – the quintessential country club that epitomises the colonial influence in Kolkata, offering varied facilities including a tight 18 hole golf course, horse-riding, tennis and squash courts, a spa, multiple food and beverage options and some well appointed accommodation. The Tollygunge golf course, although not as long as its neighbour is still an interesting test with tighter lines, narrower fairways, water bodies and smaller greens. Keep the ball in play and one is almost certain of a good round here!
