The 4th Bangolfers Invitational, a charity golf tournament held on 20th September, 2014 at Prestige Golfshire Club in Bengaluru was a resounding success with over 100 golfers participating in the golf event. The proceeds from this tournament will be used towards purchasing Accident and Mediclaim Insurance and continue to help educating children of caddies.
The event was a great way to get golfers together and have a fun golfing day while at the same time ensuring that there is a great cause to it as well.
This year’s event saw some great scores. Kurush Heerjee who played a flawless round of golf and won the Fourth Bangolfers Invitational golf tournament. Heerjee, who shot an even par 72 on the Prestige Golfshire course had the best gross score among the 104 participating golfers. Champa Kabra with a gross score of 92 won the ladies event.
Ranganath Thimmaiah, with 36 stableford points won the 0-12 handicap category on a back nine count back, edging out Syed Arifulla who also had the same number of points but had to be satisfied with the runner up prize. Mohammed Khuram with 36 points won the 13-24 handicap category while Abhishek Chaturvedi with 35 points finished runner up. Ravi Sharma with four birdies won the maximum birdies contest.
Other winners: Longest Drive – Pritam Daniel, Closest to the Pin – Nayan Sarvaiya, Straightest Drive- Louis Daniel.
