OVERVIEW

There are several attractions that make Australia unique and one could start anywhere – but the country which because of its enormity and location is, in fact, a continent is a nice beginning. Add to that the regular draws – the Koalas, Kangaroos and the Tasmanian devil – you get unique wildlife. Nothing comes even close to resembling Uluru and the wonders that make it such a magnet and this uniqueness is heightened given it is almost the geographic centre of Australia. And vocabulary would have to re-invent itself to describe the wonder that is the Great Barrier Reef.

The people of Australia, the modern cities with their lively architecture and arts, culture, music and sporting scenes, the rugged outback, the tropical rainforests and the countryside, the vineyards and an 18,000 km coastline with some superb beaches and spectacles are also big allures, each in their own right and add to the splendour.

Golf in Australia, as one would imagine is plenty, well spread out and world class– from the sand belt around Melbourne, to the concentration in Mornington Peninsula, splendid options in the Gold Coast and some that make for heady combinations with aforementioned attractions and trails.
