Dear Sandeep,
We enjoyed our golf holiday in Varna and it was very well organised by you, efficiently co-ordinated by Christina, The Bulgarian Golf Tours and the three Pro Shops on the Courses.
The Coach arrived punctually and the Buggies were available on time. The only difficulty on the third day at Black Sea Rama was that the buggie taken from Lighthouse was not charged properly and Manveen & I had a problem on the last few holes.
The three Golf Courses were fabulous and my favourite was the Thracian Cliff Golf Course with some spectacular scenery and views of the Black Sea. It was a challenging Course with high grass on the sides which swallowed up a few balls! The weather was good and a bit chill on some days.
Light House Golf & Spa Resort
- The Hotel was very nice, the room & bathroom large & airy, the beds were comfortable and the good house-keeping is commendable.
- The Breakfast was elaborate with a variety of items.
- I upgraded to a Sea-View Room and had to pay Euro 8 per day extra….even a good view comes at a price!
- We were very surprised to find that there were no basic amenities like Tea & Coffee maker in the room and we had to order it from room service every day. This is a basic amenity provided in all hotels across the world.
- There is no ordinary bottled water available in the Hotel and the only water available was Evian at Rs. 500 per litre bottle! We had to go to the nearest Super-market to buy water. In all Hotels two bottles of water are given complimentary every day. Also, ordinary bottled water should be available to buy. T
- he laundry is very expensive.
- There is only one A-La Carte restaurant in the Hotel and we had to eat there every night as Lighthouse is very far from Varna Town and there were not many Restaurants around .
- The food was very good and compliments to the Chef on the presentation and taste. But it was a very limited Menu and it would have been enjoyable to have a more extensive choice especially as it is a Golf Resort and has many international guests.
- It was quite disconcerting one dinnertime when a bread basket was served and when we asked for butter it was charged extra.
- Light House Resort is a five star Resort and has a lot going for it but they need to rise above a certain tight-fistedness and have a more welcoming, hospitable and generous attitude towards their guests.
Trust the detailed feed-back is helpful to you and your future clients. I hope to shortly review on Trip Advisor.
Hope to do a another Golf Trip with you.
Thanks Sandeep!
