Golf Holiday Overview

Scottish Highlands are all about one’s imagination about Scotland coming to reality. There is plenty to see and do outdoors in this nature’s bounty. The extraordinary beautiful terrain lends to outstanding golf course design and there is plenty of evidence. Royal Dornoch Links is considered amongst the best golf courses in the world, (Tom Watson said “The most fun I have ever had playing golf”) and boasts of members like Tom Watson, Greg Norman and Prince Andrew. Other highlights include Castle Stuart Golf Course and Nairn Golf Club. Though these golf courses are less popular than the St Andrews courses, most people rate them to be better or on par in quality and an absolutely fantastic playing experience.

Besides nature, the Highlands are home to the bulk of Scotland’s distilleries, some of which can be combined in this golf and whisky trail.

This Golf & Whisky trail is based out of Inverness, the administrative centre for the Highlands also serves as the ideal base to tour around the countryside. Play some of the most renowned golf courses of Scotland and you will have the opportunity to also visit nearly 10 noted distilleries that are mentioned in Forbes ‘World’s best Whisky trails’.

The single malt distillery list includes: Glenfiddich, The Glenlivet, Glenmorangie, Balblair, Cardhu, Glen Grant, Benromach, Glen Moray, Aultmore Distillery, Balblair Distillery and Strathisla distilleries. Normally the distillery experiences range from 1 – 4 hours & price varies from £5 – £90 approx. You can also do these tours after your round of golf. Based on your preferences, we can include the tours & tastings once we finalise on the day wise plan. (All the distilleries will be around 30-180 mins driving range from Inverness).
