Notoriety apart, Pattaya has a fabulous beach and plenty of other attractions on offer – and to top that list is golf. Just a little over an hour from Bangkok’s well linked Suvarnabhumi airport, Pattaya is quite a natural choice for a golf destination, especially with a little bit of hilly terrain. There are plenty of interesting golf courses in Pattaya and you are sure to experience some great golf in Pattaya.
The weather in Pattaya is generally kind with the rainy season only interrupting occasionally if you are out golfing in some of the best golf courses to play on – the three courses of Siam Country Club – Siam Old Course, Siam Plantation and the latest addition Siam Waterside, the longtime favourite Laem Chabang Golf Club, the tough yet memorable St. Andrews 2000 Golf Club and the fabulous Pete Dye layout of Khao Kheow. Each of these Pattaya golf courses provides a unique experience and if you are not satisfied there are others too like the Burapha Golf Club, Phoenix Golf Club, Rayong Golf Club. For the little more adventurous head out to Soi Dao – a 2-hour drive from Pattaya close to the Cambodia border and play amidst nature at the stunning Soi Dao Highlands golf course.
