Golf courses in the Garden Route are fabulous to say the least. There are the 4 Fancourt courses with luxurious facilities, the Ernie Els designed Oubaai in George, Pinnacle Point in Mossel Bay, Simola and the challenging Pezula in Knysna.
Majority of the courses are ocean facing, set as they are, on cliffs or lands by the water. Simola is probably an exception offering varied views - that of Knysna town, the river and the Outeniqua mountains.
Golfers can base themselves at either George or Knysna, where there are excellent stay options and then drive out to these golf courses.
The clubhouse and other facilities at all the courses are excellent, making them great options for day trips.

The course is demanding in the true links tradition sanse with strong holes
Gary Player has a hand in in this course as well, which is regarded as amongst the best parkland designs in South Africa.
The Outeniqua course like the Montagu course is a parkland delight not to be missed.
The Oubaai is the first golf course in South Africa that has been designed by the Big Easy Ernie Els.
Ronald Fream of Golfplan takes great pride in his creation – the Pezula Golf Course.
This golf course would rank amongst the world’s most picturesque ocean side golf courses.
The Jack Nicklaus designed Simola golf course is one that provides variety on a Garden Route golf holiday.
Hi Sandeep,
We are back from our golf trip to Vietnam and I thought I will give you some feedbacks. In general, we enjoyed our trip and were satisfied with the local transportation and guided tours. Your local agent, Andew Hoa was very helpful and efficient. We have had a small misunderstanding with the driver in Danang but he solved the problem right away. The tour guide and driver in HCMC for the city tour and Cu Chi tunnel were super.
The hotel in Danang, Fusion Maia was fantastic and so was the Angsana in Lang Co. Vinepearl in Nha Trang was satisfactory but the golf course is to die for- first class. The courses in Danang were disappointing and they were all overbooked resulted 4.5 to 5 hours a round which was very slow and unpleasant and the condition of Laguna in Lang Co was poor.
All in all, we had a good trip and thank you very much for making all the arrangements. I hope we will work together again the in future for another golf vacation.
Regards, Roberta
