Sanya is the perfect destination for golfers all year round, thanks to its temperate climate. The Yalong Bay Golf Club is one of the top 10 courses in China and is designed by US master designer- Robert Trent Jones. The 18-hole and par 72 layout sprawls an area of 7116 yards. It is shaped like a 'dragon's claw'. The fairways, with the mountains behind them, run out in the open, fronting the beach in a links-course manner. It is set amid a tropical setting of palms, native grasses and wild flowers surrounded by a lush landscape of green hills. It also features lakes, a winding river and sand bunkers that protect the greens with coconut trees filling up the spaces in between.  It is also known to have hosted 13 professional tournaments.  The luxurious accomodation and the clubhouse with locker facilities and other amenities is an ideal haven to relax in the evenings.
