Set along the scenic Ring of Kerry, the famous Irish designer Eddie Hackett had the imagination and was granted the funds to create an extraordinary and charming links course in 1973. Waterville has seen famous visitors such as Charlie Chaplin who frequented the village for trout fishing. The course starts off with a flat terrain but with the superb par4 second hole, soon shows its intricate nature creating an exciting, challenging and enjoyable links experience. Interesting names such as ‘Tranquility’, ‘The Mass’,’The Judge’ and ‘Mulcahys Peak’ give the course a different character and the par 5 eighteenth leaves one with wonderful views of the Atlantic ocean winding up near the statue of the Near the modern yet simple clubhouse.
