Steenberg Golf Estate Overview
The prolific Peter Matkovich has designed many of the top South African golf courses and Steenberg in close proximity to Cape Town is one of his favourites. Known for the conditioning and maintenance, Steenberg is also a layout that gives plenty to think about. The wind is always a factor and this can be make all the difference especially with the approaches to the generally well-guarded greens, no better exemplified than the par 3, 7th island green which is surrounded by sand on all sides, which in turn is surrounded by water.
