Formerly known as the Papillon, the Montgomerie Maxx Royal Golf Club, Belek is undoubtedly amongst the toughest golf courses in the Antalya & Belek area and is probably not recommended for the higher handicappers. Montgomerie’s design has maximized the play of the natural surroundings as is evident with the dense pine population in an erstwhile commercial forest as also with the large sand waste areas which form natural hazards that come into play in almost half the holes. But while the layout and design make the Montgomerie Maxx Royal golf course a tough one, the quality of the putting surfaces is what leaves most golfers thrilled.
