Cascata Golf Club, true to its Portuguese name has a club house designed in that manner. As a golf course it is relatively open, although wind and water are almost always involved on each of the 27 holes. One of the most memorable holes is the par 3, 8th on the C course, which used to be indexed 1 (until they decided to not do so for a par 3) – but play it & you will know why – with the green situated on a mound that is encircled by a deep bunker which is further encircled by a lake.

"Weather was nice but play was too slow out on my own behind several 5 balls. On back 9 Caddy drove to start at 6hole to see if better she seemed in a hurry ! This jumping around hole spoils golf. As does slow play and golfer should be made join up if in 1 or 2 or 3 ball. I had a 2 ball and 3 ball behind me. 5 balls should not be allowed. My game was pretty good had 3 birdies but if this was sorted Thailand would be a great place to play."
