The Open Venue of the Old course at Carnoustie Golf Links must feature amongst the most feared golf courses in the world. While it is not the most scenic of golf courses that one would get in Scotland, it is surely one where an incredible amount of thought has gone into making it a classic risk-reward beauty. The rough can potentially finish all the strokes in a round as can the deep brown hollows and avoiding them is all about the quality of shot-making especially if the wind gets going. An absolute must to figure how tough the sport can get.
