The abundant golf coupled with its short distance from Hong Kong and Macau makes Shenzhen a golf destination by itself without having to venture into hinterland China. Shenzhen is a mere 30 minutes from Hong Kong and it’s very common to find visitors and Hong Kong residents cross over for Golf in Shenzhen for a weekend or sometimes even a day of golf.

Shenzhen is representative of all that is New-China. Once a small fishing village, it was decreed a Special Economic Zone in 1979 and 30 years laters is a city of financial districts and industrial houses. Being a young city, Shenzhen obviously doesn’t have much by way of history or culture but it makes up with installed attractions like the Miniature park, Windows of the Worlds and other theme parks like the Minsk World and Happy Valley.
