Dubai was declared by United Arab Emirates upon independence in 1971 as the country’s second emirate. Its strategic geographic location made the town an important trading hub and by the beginning of the 20th century, Dubai was already an important regional port.

Dubai’s economy is mainly driven by tourism, real estate, and financial services. Dubai has recently attracted world attention through many innovative large construction projects and sports events. The Emirate is well known for its ambitious Skyscraper projects including the worlds tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. The city is full of great shopping malls, superb sporting facilities (including the worlds biggest indoor skiing facility!) and a number of world class Golf courses and thus promises to keep the most avid golfer and the biggest shopaholics equally enthralled. The quality & number of golf courses in this desert city are truly astounding.

BEST TIME TO GOLF IN DUBAI: The best time to visit Dubai is between December and February when the temperatures are pleasant and cool. These are the months during which there is a little bit of rain as well. But average rainfall is less than 35 mm during these months. June to September are the hottest months and the temperatures can go as high as 45 degrees C or more. There is virtually no rain at all during these months. The shoulder months between the Summer & Winter seasons are moderate with rising temperatures of about 30 degrees C.

GETTING THERE:  Dubai is one of the most popular International airports with connections virtually to every place in Europe, USA, Middle East and Asia.
