OVERVIEW

Belek is a small township on the Mediterranean, just 45 minutes from Antalya a major city in Turkey. While Belek is all about the golf courses, Antalya and its surrounds are the places to experience for culture, history and cruises.

Pamukkalae, about 3 and a half hour drive from Belek is a remarkable natural site known for its cotton like terraces formed out of carbonate deposits left by running water. Adjacent to it are the remains of Hierapolis a town from the Greco-Roman period. Within a half hour drive from Belek are the ruins of Perge, an ancient Greek town which are a good substitute for Ephesus. Aspendos the ancient amphitheatre is also in the vicinity. The old town of Antalya makes for a great walk and dining overlooking the Mediterranean and the harbour.

Given its location, Belek enjoys great weather year round. Although it can get warmer in July & August, generally the conditions are very good for golf. The all inclusive stay and play packages offered by the resorts featuring world class golf courses can be great deals in this beautiful part of the world. And a massage cum scrub at a “Hamam” cannot be too bad between rounds!

BEST TIME TO GOLF IN ANTALYA & BELEK: Belek can be visited throughout the year though the recommended time still remains the spring months of April-May and autumn months of September to October. The summer months of June to August sees temperatures rising and could reach 35 degrees. The winter months of December to February are colder & rainy.
